Physical Therapy for Athletes in Easley, SC

Stop Training Around Pain.
Fix What’s Limiting You.

Physical Therapy
Built Around How
You Actually Train.

Not How Clinics Think You Should.

Most physical therapy is built around restoring basic function, often injury. If you’re a CrossFit athlete, a group fitness member, a lifter, or anyone whose training is a serious part of your life, basic function isn’t the goal. Peak performance is.

If training is a serious part of your life, your rehab should support it—not shut it down. Our sports physical therapists build your treatment plan around your training, your sport, and your performance goals.

THE REAL REASON ATHLETES GET STUCK

Why You Keep
Tweaking the Same Areas

You’ve stretched it. Rested it. Taped it. And it keeps coming back.

Most recurring injuries aren’t bad luck. They’re the result of three things your physical therapy plan should be addressing:

One side is compensating for the other

It’s subtle, it builds over time, and it eventually shows up as the shoulder that flares on overhead movements, the hip that tightens after heavy deadlifts, or the knee that never quite feels right.

Sports physical therapists at MYOMUV identify these imbalances and begin strengthening weak areas before they cause a bigger problem.

You can handle a movement in isolation. But under real training volume, over multiple sets and sessions, it breaks down. This is one of the most common causes of overuse injuries in athletes.

Addressing load tolerance is one of our core injury prevention strategies, building your capacity so your body holds up when the physical stressors increase.

When something is weak or restricted, your body finds a workaround. That workaround works…until it doesn’t. Compensation patterns quietly limit your movement patterns and set you up for future injuries.

Identifying and correcting them through both passive and active exercises is central to the athletic rehabilitation process at MYOMUV.

Systematic. Measurable. Built for Athletes.

A System that Fixes What
Your Training Keeps Exposing

Sports rehab at MYOMUV isn’t a passive process. Every step of your plan is structured, progressive, and tied to objective data, built around the unique demands of your training and your sport.

Initial
Evaluation

Your physical therapist assesses strength, mobility, movement patterns, range of motion, and load tolerance.

We identify the specific leaks limiting your athletic performance and use that data to build your treatment plan from the ground up.

Targeted Treatment Plan

Our physical therapists build a plan around your sport, your training schedule, and your performance goals. Targeted interventions, soft tissue mobilization, and therapeutic exercises are selected based on your data, not a generic protocol. This isn’t one-size-fits-all physical therapy. It’s sports physical therapy built for your body.

Progressive Athletic Rehabilitation

Every session moves you forward. We use both passive and active exercises, advanced techniques, and higher intensity treatments as your body is ready for them, progressing you at a pace that’s swift yet safe.

You keep training. We keep adjusting.

Retest and
Validate

Every retest measures what matters, force production, strength balance, range of motion, movement efficiency, and the results shape exactly what comes next.

You see the progress. We adjust based on the numbers.

What Gets Measured Gets Improved

How We Measure
Progress

Physical therapy without measurement is guesswork. We track five key metrics throughout your injury recovery and performance plan:

Pain

Tracked via pain scales to monitor pain relief and pain management at every stage of the healing process.

Intensity Progressions

Are you handling more load over time? This confirms your capacity for physical activities is building.

Mobility

Assessed visually to track how your range of motion improves and where muscle tension remains.

Force Production

Measured via force plates to show how much power your body can generate and whether injured muscles are recovering to pre-injury levels.

ISO Strength

Isolated strength testing across specific muscle groups to identify and close imbalances between sides

This data drives every decision in your recovery process and gives you clear, objective proof that the work is paying off.

Why Athletes Trust MyoMuv

Sports Clinicians
Who Train Like You Do

The physical therapists at MYOMUV don’t approach your care from a clinical distance. We train too. We understand the culture of training, the psychological barriers that come with injury, and the frustration of being told to just rest.

That’s why our approach to sports physical therapy is built from an athletic mindset:

  • We keep you moving while we solve the problem.
  • We have the space and equipment for real athletic training. Not just treatment tables.
  • We treat athletes like athletes, not patients waiting to restore function

Our physical therapists focus on returning you to your sport stronger, not just relieving pain

This is athletic rehabilitation designed around the specific demands of how you train and compete. Not general physical therapy. Not basic movement work. More advanced recovery programs built for people who expect more.

Got Questions?

How long will this take?

It depends on your starting point and goals. Your physical therapist will give you an honest timeline after your first visit, backed by real data, not guesswork.

We’re an out-of-network provider. Many patients use HSA/FSA funds or out-of-network benefits. No surprise payments. No rushed sessions. Contact us and we’ll help you understand your options before your first visit.

We have a variety of equipment to work with. From an exercise bike to a squat rack, we’ve got most things you’d see in an actual gym.

Dumbbells, Kettlebells, Barbells, Medicine Balls, Resistance Bands and Benches and more.

Each follow-up session runs about an hour. You’ll spend that time one-on-one with your PT working through your plan.

We work with one person at a time. You’ll spend your appointment one-on-one with your PT working through your plan.

Each person is different, and so is each plan. But generally, we work to create a plan that helps you integrate your physical therapy into your workout plan. We want to keep you moving, not push more Rest.
